Measures explores the tenuous relationship between medium and materiality. The site-specific installation explores the binary present when one views still and moving images side by side. Using the ephemeral delicacy of the human breath and photograph’s tactility and texture, Measures calls into question the implied smoothness of motion, and suggests the impossibility of perceiving the movement of time.
