The Distillery Art Market will feature exhibitors in various outdoor spaces at The Distillery Historic District over the course of the spring, summer and fall starting April 15, 2011. The Distillery Art Market is an exhibition designed to produce a creator-to-market opportunity for artists, craftspeople, designer/makers and food artisans. The markets will take place for 27 consecutive weeks until the final market weekend of October 16, 2011.
Applicants can choose to participate in one weekend or a series of weekends for the Distillery Art Market’s duration. Artists, craftspeople, designer/makers and food artisans have the opportunity to utilize provided art carts (allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis pending jury approval) or a 10’ x 10’ tent.
Participants in the Distillery Art Market will be selected by a professional jury, with consideration to diversity of medium and quality of work being sold. Jewellery artists will not be considered at this time due to the abundant representation of jewellery available at shops on-site. Food artisans will be considered provided their product is unique from the existing businesses at The Distillery Historic District. All products must be handmade in Canada by the vendor.
