Xpace Opening This Friday

Hello as you may know Xpace Cultural Centre is having an opening this Friday from 7 to 11 for its November Exhibitions.  The space is being transformed with painted walls and burgundy cardboard hanging from the ceiling.  I have had a sneak peak of some of the work including a plaster sculpture (that blew my mind) by Jenine Marsh who is in the project space.  There will be snacks and drinks, plus the artists and curators will be in attendance including Ellyn Walker who curated the show “Provisions”  in the main space.   I will be tweeting/drinking/instragraming during the opening so come down and say Hello.

BIG BIG WELCOME to Adrienne Crossman who is the new Programming Coordinator for Xpace, I look forward to working with you and talking about art / 90s films.   Adrienne is very active in the arts community and is the curator (with an active call for submission (click link))of  Transcending Binaries

Adrienne and Butter

“Adrienne Crossman is an artist, educator and curator working in Toronto. A graduate of OCAD University, she holds a BFA in Integrated Media and a Minor in Digital and Media Studies. She has since completed residencies at Spark Contemporary Art Space in Syracuse, New York and La Baraque in Montréal, Quebec. She has previously worked at the artist run centres Vtape and Charles Street Video, and now works as a Class Assistant at OCAD University while continuing to develop her studio and curatorial practices.”
