Airplanes are extraordinary inventions: giant machines that allow humans to fly. They embody technological progress, mobility, and the desire to overcome corporeal limitations. Yet airplanes are also imitations. Their forms borrow from birds, translating flight into engineering. Unlike birds, however, airplanes cannot experience the sky they move through. They travel within it without ever feeling it, never arriving at it.

Budgie Heaven considers transformation as an ongoing condition of longing. The airplane remains suspended between departure and arrival, mimicry and transcendence. The budgie dreams of becoming larger, the body dreams of becoming weightless, and the plane dreams of being alive.
