Art Spin
Call for Submissions for Art Spin, 2013.

Art Spin, the successful series of bicycle led art tours, is gearing up for its fifth season this summer. They are currently looking for submissions for art projects/performances from all disciplines (visual arts, installation, sculpture, film & video, performance, dance, music etc.) to fit into our tour programming.

Projects being proposed will be considered for one of the three tours taking place on: Thursday, June 27th, Thursday, July 25th or Thursday, August 29th (all tours begin at 6:30 and run until roughly 9pm).

Time-based projects should last no longer than 15 minutes. They encourage site-specific proposals, however locations may be altered in order to better accommodate our tour routes.
Artists should keep in mind the growing number of participants on Art Spin tours. Projects that can easily be viewed/experienced by larger groups are more successful.

Artists’ fees between $500 – $1000, depending on the project, will be awarded.

The Good Press Remote Residency
Good Press in Glasgow, Scotland, is inviting application for their very first Residency. This is open to artists of all disciplines;visual artists, photographers, writers, publishers, people. As an artist in residence at Good Press, you will develop an artwork or project between 8th May – 1rst June 2013. The format is entirely up to the artist, but they envisage that as a rough guide the development period will last from the 8th May until 26th May, and thereafter the space would become an “exhibit.”
The residency will be ran remotely, and so as opposed to being here in Glasgow, they are proposing that you are a resident in your own town and send packages either by m ail (in the spirit of mail art) or electronically (in the spirit of futuristic living) throughout the month with clear instructions for it’s installation.
A small budget will be available to contribute towards materials, posting and the general productions of the project, and they will work together on promotional material.
Deadline for submissions is Sunday the 24th of March, 2013
