Sole Purpose is a negotiation of dance, tradition and colour. This video and performance work serves as a personal investigation of movement, where ballet is used as a point of departure. With this performance, ballet’s traditions of femininity and uniformity are reworked, becoming a platform on which the dancer’s role and self-presentation are reimagined.

The External Space is located in the OCAD University Learning Zone on level one of 113 McCaul Street, Toronto.
