future re/collection
Wenting Li
March 10, 2023 - April 22, 2023
We tend to collect the past – precious objects, keepsakes. But as we face the uncertain future, can our collections hold the same meaning and significance? future re/collection is an offering in response to living in a world which feels like it’s ending, while we continue to be overwhelmed by daily mundanities and inhumanities. Ordered within milk crates, experimental in nature and offering new ideas made from found + preexisting materials, the objects/ shapes/ spaces in this collection are formed in hope of communally possible futures – material explorations against apocalypse.
