Lucille Kim
Between 1973-1979, the artist’s father was forced by the Khmer Rouge to work constantly in the rice fields of Cambodia. Through stop-motion documentation of coin therapy (a traditional method of healing the body of pain), Lucille Kim is interested in investigating the relationship between the powerful and the powerless, between healing and pain, and how the past can be revealed in the present upon the human body.
The External Space is located in the OCAD University Learning Zone on level one of 113 McCaul Street, Toronto.
